Furthermore our blade and handle finishes may include mild scratches, blemishes and marks. Our horn and wood handles by their very nature are subject to changes in colour, tone and pattern. Furthermore, with the multitudes of different option combinations online, it isn't feasible to have photos of each individual option to show and product images are not indicative of all potential final outcomes. By placing an order, the customer shows that they understand this and consent to the possibility of their final product differing in some way from the product images displayed on the website.

The purchase, use, and ownership of knives are subject to a wide variety of local laws and customs regulations. Certain knife styles, blade designs, and blade lengths are not allowed in specific areas. Due to the complexity and constantly changing nature of these laws and regulations, it is impossible for Kailash Blades to be aware of every restriction in every location in which our knives may be sold or carried.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to investigate and comply with the laws and customs regulations that apply in his or her specific area. The purchaser and / or user is solely responsible for any claims resulting from violation of these laws and/or regulations either once obtained or during shipping.

WARNING! Knives are extremely sharp tools and should only be used with the utmost care and caution. While we do consider our knives fit for extreme use and cover these activities in some of our warranties, such activities are engaged in at the user's peril and by engaging in them takes full responsibility for their safety.

 

In the event that one of our products breaks during such behaviour and leads to harm, the user is still responsible for engaging in that activity in the first place. Failure to properly maintain your knife also may cause its mechanisms to not function properly, which could result in injury to you or damage to the knife.

 

Keeping your knife regularly oiled, cleaning off any surface rust which may form during use and regular sharpening will keep the blade functioning properly while keeping the handle lightly oiled and stored in a dry place, outside of its sheath will increase its lifespan as long as possible.

Each of our blades is made custom from scratch to your needs and as a result refunds and changes of mind cannot be handled as though these are stock blades. In specific circumstances we can come to an arrangement if the manufacturing of the blades has not yet begun, however once progress has started on a blade that order is Final. The custom process and photo updates as part of seeing your blade are as much a part of the product as the final knife. As a result these custom blades cannot be resold for the same value to anyone else. The customer will have to cover the cost of depreciation (20%), come to an alternative arrangement or follow through with the order. Any purchase placed through Kailash Blades is final and by completing the checkout process the customer shows that they have committed to buying and taking responsibility for all of the items in their cart. We take no responsibility for blades purchased through a third party unless stated otherwise.

 

A refund can be obtained under the circumstance that we have failed to complete or send our order within reasonable time as defined by us or that we have sent a product other than what was ordered/ as described under the conditions described on this page. We also refund any mistakes in payment that may have occurred. Any circumstance where refund may occur is to be treated individually and is open to our discretion and judgement on if it fits these requirements.

 

Upon confirmation of refund you will receive a credit via your original method of payment. Please allow 10-14 business days for processing of returns and issuance of credit upon receipt by Kailash Blades. Please note that we cannot refund the initial shipping costs once the item has been shipped, only prior to that time. If you used a promotional code or certificate to pay for any part of an item that you want to return, you will be credited only the amount charged to your credit card. If you used a gift certificate to pay for any part of an item that you want to return, you will receive another certificate of equal value for future use.

In case of blade failure, please consult us through email with some photographs of the knife and a description of what has occurred. At this point we may be able to simply send a replacement straight to you, depending on circumstance and level of warranty. If not, we will need it to be sent to us in an insured and shipping paid to the following address. We will not accept unpaid or uninsured packages.

Upon receipt, we will evaluate the returned product to build an idea of what has occurred to the blade and whether it fits the stipulations of our warranty agreement. We will then contact you to resolve your complaint for damage covered by this warranty by repair or more likely by full replacement.
The replacement blade will be identical in options to the one purchased previously unless otherwise arranged and will inherit the same warranty as the knife purchased previously. At this point it will be returned to you with shipping paid by us.

How An Order Is Handled:

 

Each online sale, paid/processed through the site will be acknowledged by kailashblades.com on the following 1-2 business days. The mail will include topics like payment, sold item/s name, quantity, time frame, forwarding, delivery time and others as necessary. Kailash Blades will update the customer upon request about the status of the order and we will endeavour to send through progress photos at the grinding, forging and fitting stages. We cannot however guarantee any frequency of these photo updates or that we will manage to capture all stages of production as the balance of workshop flow and administrative is difficult to manage at the best of times, let alone when under large production strain. The tracking number of the order will be mailed to the customer after forwarding it to the courier agent as specified in the sales acknowledgement mail.

 

Delivery & Time Frame:

This entirely depends on the type and availability of the product that is ordered and the customer's location. Nonetheless, we assure that we will endeavour to have your order processed and completed in 4-6 weeks unless our activities are badly disrupted. In this case we'll get in contact and provide updates as the situation resolved itself.
As of 2020 DHL refuses to ship modern blades or weapons from Nepal. As a result any non khukuri blade or khukuri with a sharpened back edge/deemed not traditional enough will be handled by Aramex. All shipments will be tracked and shipped express. If you need some other freight option, get in touch through our contact section before placing the order and we may be able to arrange an alternative, but we reserve the right to decline taking the order.

Time until waiting in forging queue- 2-3 weeks.

Forging takes place in batches, so all blades need to be hammered out before they move to grinding. Rough and refined forging, grinding and quench- 1 week.

Final grind, handle fitting and finishing- 1.5weeks

Sheathmaking -0.5-1 week.

Packing, Admin and shipping time. 5-10 days. This is greatly dependent on the speed of your local customs service and any customs issues. Please contact us if it takes any longer than 10 days from when we provide you with a tracking number.

Order Confusion:
In case of order confusion or delayed receipt of payment, kailash blades will contact the buyer and confirm the product type that is actually ordered before moving forward. After this we acknowledge the sale, confirm payment, process the order and forward towards the destination. We will immediately contact you if an order seems incorrect or we have any confusion in order to prevent further delays.

Shipping Policy:
Kailash Blades is a quality manufacturer of tools and our reputation and integrity is our greatest asset. As a result and unlike other nepalese manufacturers we take no profit at all from shipping charges. Our shipping charges are calculated straight from DHL and Aramex policy based on the weight, volume and distance but not on the value of the items. Our intent is to charge you the actual cost and nothing extra to ship it to your desired address. Upon checkout, your shipping will be automatically calculated based on your billing address. When your order is completed, kailash blades will generally ship your order next day and the delivery company will deliver your order within 5 - 10 days. We will inform you within 24 hour regarding your shipment and will provide you the tracking number which will allow tracking through taht own shipping agent.
